It is hardly surprising that when times are hard and people and businesses are under pressure, cases of workplace conflict go up. This is particularly true of high-pressure working environments like the healthcare sector, where earlier this year the Government made clear that a possible 50,000 jobs could disappear from the NHS alone. With Primary Care Trusts not just closing but also merging, which brings with it increased tension, the likely risk of employee conflict caused by strain and fear is increasing.

We've reacted to conflict increases by designing a suite of training programmes specifically aimed at preventing conflict through effective management, and resolving conflict even earlier either informally through mediation or formally through robust and thorough investigations. We've even created a dedicated team with extensive NHS experience, including trainer, Jacky Sherman, former CEO of a Primary Care Trust, who have helped us design a suite of courses specifically for the NHS:
All of our courses are developed in line with the NHS National Syllabus for Conflict Resolution. Our training compliments and supports this syllabus while recognising the differences in dealing with Internal Workplace conflict. Consequently our resolution models draw and build upon relevant approved techniques such as LEAPs, PEACE and CUDSA.
