But you needn't have to make an either/or choice between internal vs. external investigations - People Resolutions has developed a new hybrid service that combines in-house support and external investigations, to meet your requirements.
As the nature and frequency of carrying out an investigation following a formal grievance varies, People Resolutions supports the internal colleague to ensure the investigation is completed professionally and efficiently by:
- Providing the notetaker role during an investigation
- Guiding/coaching and mentoring the internal HR or business line manager throughout the investigation
- Providing technical guidance throughout the investigation (acting as co-investigator)
- Proof-reading reports
This can be used in conjunction with our standard workplace investigation service (for more serious or complicated cases), to provide a comprehensive and well-rounded workplace investigations support without the need for substantial budgets.
